Harold E. Frost
86-year-old Flora resident, Harold E. Frost died at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 29 at Flora Rehab & Health Care Center.
He retired in 1985 from the U.S. Postal Service as a supervisor.
Survivors include children, Ed Frost of Loogootee, IN, Rick and Larry Frost of Flora; Mike Frost of Louisville and Shari Dixon of Foristell, MO; a sister, Marian Eade of Louisville, IL; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services for Harold E. Frost will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, August 1 at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with burial in Golden Cemetery at Louisville, IL.
Visitation will be from 4 - 7 Saturday evening at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with a Masonic Service at 3:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Central Illinois Honor Flights or Clay County Hospice and will be accepted at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
Peggy Lyn Bryan Hinterscher
55-year-old Xenia resident, Peggy Lyn Bryan Hinterscher died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 28 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She had been a driver for Tennant Truck Lines in Orion, IL.
Survivors include her husband, David Hinterscher of Xenia; children, Joshua P. Edwards of Xenia, Amber Hinterscher of Ingraham, Adam Hinterscher of Olney and Toby Hinterscher of Mount Carmel; a brother, John Bryan of Xenia; sisters, Billy Jean Hayden of Westport, IL, Gracie Garrison of Xenia; Carol Phillips of Xenia and Margie Fey of Paige, AZ and three grandchildren.
Services for Peggy Lyn Bryan Hinterscher will be 10:30 Monday morning, August 2 at the Frank & Bright Funerla Home in Flora with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Xenia with military honors.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 Sunday evening, August 1 at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
Billy Musgrave
48-year-old Carmi resident, Billy Musgrave, died at 10:15 p.m. Monday, July 26, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was production manager for Dennis Payne Service Co., an avid guitar player, collector, and member of the St. Polycarp Catholic Church in Carmi.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Susan; one son, Matthew and his mother, Ruth Coulter both of Carmi; two brothers, Frank and John both of Carmi; five nieces and several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Billy Musgrave will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 30, at St. Polycarp Catholic Church in Carmi. Burial will be in North Maple Ridge Cemetery at Carmi.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
Marcella Simpson
87-year-old Fairfield resident, Marcella Simpson died at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday in the Emergency Room at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the New Hope General Baptist Church, and a charter member of Hall Home Extension Unit, and a member of the original board of the Clothesline.
Surviving are her husband Harlan Simpson of Fairfield; two daughters, Marilyn Tyler of Salem, IL and Marsha Scattone of McLeansboro; one son, Stephen of Plantersville, AL; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Annabelle Carter of Murfreesboro, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Marcella Simpson will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 30, at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials may be made to the New Hope General Baptist Church.
Phillip L. Beeson
56-year-old Cisne resident, Phillip L. "Butch" Beeson was killed Tuesday, July 27 in a car-train accident near Keenes. He was a rural mail carrier at Wayne City and Keenes and a U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany during the Vietnam War era.
Survivors include his wife, Candice Beeson of Cisne; two daughters, Melanie Benoit of Carterville and Katie Beeson of Cisne; a son, James W. Beeson of Fairfield; his mother-in-law, Mary Lou Grimes of Cisne; three sisters, Rosalee Pearce of Rinard, Katy Auvil of Flora and Nina Stanford of Newton; three brothers, James A. Beeson, Donald Beeson and Jerry Beeson, all of Fairfield and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Phillip L. "Butch" Beeson will be 3 p.m. Sunday, August 1 at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the time of service Sunday, Aug. 1 at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.
Memorials may be made to the Education Fund for Katie Beeson and will be accepted at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.
Charles W. Arnold
84-year-old Parkersburg resident, Charles W. Arnold died June 30 at Burgin Manor Nursing Home in Olney. A veteran of WW II, the Korean War and Vietnam War, he drove a truck for 12 years.
Survivors include his wife, Frances; a good friend, Jim Shingleton of Hubert, NC; two sisters-in-law, Norma Thomas and Pauline Scranton, both of Bridgeport, IL and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Charles W. Arnold will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 30 at Oak Hill Cemetery at Parkersburg. There will be no visitation.
Military rites will be performed at the cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Oak Hill Cemetery and will be accepted at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport, which is in charge of all the arrangements.
Gloria Ann Campbell
75-year-old Enfield resident, Gloria Ann Campbell died early Monday morning, July 26 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville. She had worked at the Enfield Food Shoppe, Marlin's Department Store, Brooks Manufacturing and Carmi Township Hospital.
Survivors inhclude three daughters, Debbie Merrick, Cherie Morss and Jana Bolin, all of Enfield; two sisters, Phyllis Medlin and Kay Huffer; a brother, John Gunter; aunts, Alpha Hankins and Agnes Metcalf; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services for Gloria Ann Campbell will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 29 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8 Wednesday evening, July 28 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield.
Memorials may be made to the Enfield Fire Department and will be accepted at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield.
Maxine S. Pennington
72-year-old Johnsonville, IL native, Maxine S. Pennington of Mishawaka, IN died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, July 24 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN. She worked as a clerk at K-Mart in Mishawaka, IN.
Survivors include two sisters, Nadine Pennington and Kathryn Lynn Stanton, both of Mishawaka, IN; seven brothers, Herschel Pennington of Mishawaka, IN, Carl Pennington of Smyrna, IN, Richard L. Pennington of Lamar, IN, Paul Pennington of Granger, IN, Ivan Pennington of Breeman, IN, Allen Pennington of Mishawaka, IN and Keith Pennington of Mishawaka, IN.
Services for Maxine Pennington will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 29 at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne with burial in Cates Cemetery at Cisne.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.
Hazel Renschler
91-year-old Evansville, IN resident, Hazel Renschler died Friday morning, July 23 at her home. She worked for Republic Aviation and Mead Johnson, retiring in 1981.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Bob Clayton of Evansville; a son, Wayne Gardner of Evansville; a stepdaughter, Brenda Lane of Evansville; a stepson, Wayne Renschler of Evansville; several grandchildren also survive.
Services for Hazel Renschler will be Tuesday, July 27 at 2 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home in Evansville at 1800 St. George Road. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home.

Elmo Gene Wells
72-year-old former Mt. Vernon, IL resident, Elmo Gene Wells of Sebring, FL, died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at Hope Hospice in Sebring, FL. He worked for Trunkline Gas Company and Panhandle Eastern Pipeline for 36 years. He also worked as a corrosion engineer as an independent consultant for the past 12 years.
Surviving are his wife Phyllis of Sebring, FL; three sons, Jett Wells of Danville, IN, Neil Huffman of Canby, OR and Scott Wells of Brownsburg, IN; one brother, Charles Wells of Mt. Erie; one daughter, Barbara Birk of Sellersburg, IN; four sisters, Dorothy Billington of Olney, Bernice Wood of Fairfield, Anna Fern Massie of Carmi and Mary Frye of Cisne; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Elmo Gene Wells will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, at the Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, IL. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, at Scott Cemetery in Mt. Erie.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, at the Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, IL.
