85-year-old Wayne City resident, Paul Ray Wilson died at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5 at Mt. Vernon Healthcare Center. A veteran of the Korean War, he was an engineer for the Illinois Central Railroad and also worked as a farmer for many years on his family farm.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Wilson of Wayne City; two sons, Jack Wilson and wife Beth of Wayne City and Ted Wilson of Wayne City; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Sammy Wilson of Missouri and a sister, Fern Parks of Kansas.
Services for Paul Ray Wilson will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix with burial in Salem (Davis-Mateer) Cemetery at Keenes.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix.
Memorials may be made to the Salem Cemetery or the Activity Department of Mt. Vernon Healthcare and will be accepted at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix.
