Robert L. “Bob” Bryson

Bob Bryson 257-year-old McLeansboro resident, Robert L. “Bob” Bryson, died at 11:58 a.m. Wednesday, July 31 in McLeansboro.  He was a Courier for the U.S. Postal Service, Deputy Coroner for Hamilton County, Assistant Fire Chief for the City of McLeansboro, and Leading Knight for the Elks Lodge of McLeansboro.

Surviving are his wife Ruth of McLeansboro; one son, Matthew of McLeansboro; three daughters, Jamie Ellis and Bailey Bryson both of McLeansboro and Courtney Webb of Dale, IL; two granddaughters; and one brother, James of Rockford, IL.

Funeral services for Robert L. “Bob” Bryson will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 3 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.  Burial will be in Digby Hill Cemetery at Dale, IL.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Saturday, August 3 until the time of service at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be made to Scholarships sponsored by the Elks Foundation, and will be accepted at the funeral home or the Elks Lodge.

Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of the arrangements.
