82-year-old Fairfield resident, Robert Rodgers died Sunday, March 3 at his home. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a retired Illinois State Highway worker.
Survivors include daughters, Mandy and husband Chance Berg of Fairfield, Jonni and husband Kenny Tucker of Cisne and Julie Rodgers of Fairfield; a son, Andy and wife Kim Rodgers of Fairfield; a sister, Mildred Willison of Clay City; brothers, Russell and Carroll Rodgers of Cisne, Gene Rodgers of Champaign and Delbert Rodgers of Rinard; grandchildren, Kara Blanton, Matthew, Joseph and Eric Rodgers and Kristen and Kate Wright, all of Fairfield, Christopher and Rodney Tucker, both of Cisne.
At his request, his remains will be cremated and there will be no services.
Memorials may be made to the Dr. Scranton Memorial Cancer Fund or the Hospice of Good Samaritan and will be accepted at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, which is in charge of all the arrangements.
