60-year-old McLeansboro resident, Ron Calvin Burke died at 11 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a bus driver for the Hamilton County Schools.
Survivors include his wife Sandy Burke of McLeansboro; a son, Jason Burke of McLeansboro; a daughter, Alison Burke of McLeansboro; three brothers, Lon Burke of Tecumseh, KS, Don Burke of McLeansboro and Robert “Bob” Burke of Mt. Vernon, IL; several nieces and nephews.
Services for Ron Calvin Burke will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at St. Clements Catholic Church in McLeansboro with burial in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery at Piopolis.
Visitation will be from 6 – 8 Friday evening, Sept. 6 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. A Masonic Service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the William and Carlene Burke Memorial Scholarship Fund or the St. Clements Catholic Church Building Fund and will be accepted at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro which is in charge of all the arrangements.
