75-year-old Mt. Vernon, IL resident, formerly of Aurora, IL, Ronald Keith McGuire, died at 3:10 p.m. Monday, March 17 at his home in Mt. Vernon, IL. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. He served on the U.S.S. Saratoga. He was a truck driver having worked in the oil fields and the Fairfield area. He later worked as a fork truck operator for General Mills, Inc. in West Chicago, IL for 35 years.
Surviving are his wife, Doris Jean McGuire of Mt. Vernon, IL; one son, Brian Keith McGuire of Mt. Vernon, IL; three step-children, Terry Stroud and fiance’ Lilly of Oswego, IL, Kathy Eisenerich and husband Rob of North Aurora, IL and Lisa Stroud of Mt. Vernon, IL; grandchildren Jordan Rogers and Aaron McGuire; step-grandchildren, Serenity, Bailey, Nichole and Tim; and two nieces, Kathy Sneed and Belinda Deiter.
Per his wishes no public services will be held for Ronald Keith McGuire.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, IL, which is in charge of the arrangements.
