88-year-old McLeansboro resident, Thelma L. (Nipper) Farris died at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, May 28 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She worked at the former Elder Manufacturing Company in McLeansboro, and also worked as a nurses aide at the Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center in McLeansboro.
Surviving are three sons, Larry Dean Nipper of McLeansboro, Paul David Nipper of Georgia and Rickey Nipper of Georgia; five daughters, Rosella Webb of McLeansboro, Shirley Grahan of Acworth, GA, Judy Savage of McLeansboro, Janice Ford of McLeansboro and Vickie Heriges of Henderson, KY; 24 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Gene Allen of McLeansboro; and one sister, Ruby Scarber of Farmington, NM.
Funeral services for Thelma L. (Nipper) Farris will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 30 at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Thursday, May 30 until the time of service at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
