72-year-old former Wayne City resident, Walter J. Wright of McGreggor Iowa died Thursday, May 2 at Madison, WI. He was retired as the Department Head of Bluegrass Norton in Geneva, IL and was a member of the Falling Rock Walleye Club and Eagles Club Aerie 1502.
Survivors include his wife, Judith; sons, Mykell Wright of North Aurora, IL, Walter Wright, Jr. and wife Annie of Troy Grove, IA, Kevin Wright and wife Cheryl of Denver, CO and a step-son, Kevin Hamm of St. Cloud, WI; daughters, Sheryl Wright of Elgin, Angela Goggins of Chippewa Falls, WI, Susan Lemke and husband Dwight of Chillicothe, IL and Melissa Burright and husband Ronald of Prairie du Chien, IA; 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and two sisters, Joyce Weaver and husband Morris of Tuscola, IL and Audrey Wagner of Fairfield.
Graveside services for Walter J. Wright will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Olive Branch Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
The Richardson Funeral Home of Wayne City is in charge of all the arrangements.
