Together with their parents, Ryan Kelley and Kayla Hanisch are excited to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
Kayla is the daughter of Craig & Connie McKinney of West Salem, IL and Jay & Jody Hanisch of Evansville, IN. She is the granddaughter of Ron & Linda Kelsey of Bone Gap and Paul & Peggy Downen of Freeburg, IL. After graduating from Edwards County High School in 2009, she attended Olney Central College and obtained an Associate Degree in 2010. Presently, she works as a CNA at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, IL.
Ryan is the son of Dan and Deb Kelley of Olney, IL. He is the grandson of Martin & Edith Miller of Lawrenceville, IL and the late G.L. & Snooks Kelley of Olney, IL. Ryan is a 2008 graduate from Olney High School. Currently Ryan is employed as a Team Leader at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Princeton, IN.
A June 1, 2013, wedding will be held at the Little Prairie Christian Church in Albion, IL with the reception to follow at the Richland County Country Club in Olney, IL. Formal invitations have been sent. The couple will make their home in the rural West Salem, IL area.
The intimate wedding of Ashlea Brooke Pollard and Robert Allan Schmalz was held on the beach at the Long Boat Key Club and Resort, Long Boat Key, Florida on February 16, 2013. Ashlea is the daughter of Jim and Pat Pollard of Fairfield and Bob is the son of Mary Schmalz of Clayton, Missouri and Bob and Lynn Schmalz of Kirkwood, MO.
Ashlea was escorted by her father over a wooden bridge to the beautiful white sand private beachfront where a simple alter was formed by white chiffon draped over wooden pillars and adorned with hot pink roses.
The bride wore a strapless flowing white gown of chiffon over bridal satin with a chiffon bridal train attached by three chiffon rosettes. The bodice of the gown was centered with an Isenberg brooch which gathered the bodice to make a sweetheart neckline. The brooch and the matching bracelet were her something borrowed from her aunt, Joan Pollard of Evansville, IN. Her ensemble was made complete with the diamond earrings, which were a wedding gift from the groom and a bouquet of hot pink roses.
Serving as her sister’s matron of honor was Alisha Schmutzler of Orlando, FL. Bridesmaids were Trisha Griffith, sister of the bride, Joni Luchesi, cousin of the bride and Lydia Griffith, niece of the bride. The bridal attendants and the sister of the groom wore navy chiffon dresses with hot pink shawls and matching earrings and necklaces. They carried bouquets of hot pink roses. Averi and Amelia Schmutzler, nieces of the bride served as flower girls and wore hot pink chiffon dresses.
The groom was attired in a tailor made navy blue suit with white shirt and hot pink tie. His best “man” was his sister Jill Schmalz of Washington, DC. Groomsmen were Jamie Pollard, brother of the bride, Ted Toczylowski, cousin of the groom and junior groomsman Eli Schmutzler, nephew of the bride. The men and the father of the bride were attired in navy suits, white shirts and hot pink ties and wore hot pink boutonnieres.
The ceremony was performed by the bride’s brother-in-law, Kyle Schmutzler of Orlando, FL with scriptures read by Bill Edwards of Carmi, IL. Ushers were Will Griffith, Jake and Zak Pollard, nephews of the bride, and Daniel Alves, who is mentored by Bob in the Big Brother program. Music for the wedding and the evening meal was provided by a chamber of five string musicians.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, guests were transported by trolley across the resort compound to the Harborside Clubhouse for cocktails before the sit down dinner and dancing. The entrance to the Clubhouse was lined with lanterns while tables for the reception were centered with mirrors that held a variety of white flowers and floating candles in tall crystal vases. The Bride and Groom’s table was adorned with three bouquets of fresh hot pink roses and an accompanying table held the four-tier wedding cake embellished with a large “S” and fresh hot pink roses. The backs of the white satin reception chairs were tied with hot pink satin sashes. Before the serving of the meal, Jim Pollard welcomed everyone and thanked guests for traveling to the celebration recognizing one lady that had traveled from Germany for the ceremony. He also asked everyone to join in the singing of “Happy Birthday” to Joni Luchesi and Ted Johnson.
On Friday evening, the wedding party and out of town guests enjoyed a rehearsal dinner on the reserved patio at the BeachHouse Restaurant. Cocktails and appetizers were enjoyed and later a buffet meal that included grouper, chicken and beef tenderloin was served.
The newlyweds recently returned from their honeymoon in St. Lucia to their home in Orlando.
KRISTEN ASHLEE ROWE AND PATRICK IAN HARRIS
Together with their parents, Kristen Ashlee Rowe and Patrick Ian Harris are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
Kristen is the daughter of Kirk and Lesia Rowe of Albion, IL. She is the granddaughter of Sonny and Patricia Smith of Hindman, KY and Dr. Louis and Dianna Rowe of Florence, KY. Kristen is a 2010 graduate of Edwards County High School. She will graduate from Georgetown College in May 2013 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology. She is planning a career as a physician assistant.
Patrick is the son of Gary and Cindy Harris of Bone Gap, IL. He is the grandson of Lowell and Jean Smith of Carmi, IL and Doris and the late Leroy Harris of Bone Gap, IL. He is a 2008 graduate of Edwards County High School. He will graduate from the University of Southern Indiana in May 2013 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Science Secondary Education. He is planning a career as a middle or high school teacher.
The couple will marry on June 22, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Albion, IL with a dinner reception to follow. Formal invitations will be sent.
Ruth and Carl Bunnage of Fairfield, Illinois, are happy to announce the marriage of their son, Carl Levi Bunnage to Crystal Gail Eaton of Fairfield. Carl and Crystal were married at the First Christian Church in Fairfield on March 16, 2013. Following the ceremony a dinner and reception were held at the church. The couple honeymooned in Arkansas. They are currently residing in Fairfield. Carl and Crystal are attending Frontier College.

Justn is the daughter of Dewayne and Nancy Gregory. She is the granddaughter of the late Veda and John Dale Baker, and Sonny and Violet Thomason. A 2006 graduate of Fairfield Community High School, and 2010 graduate of Frontier Community College, obtaining her Associates Degree in Science and Arts, and Administration Info. Technology degree. She is currently employed at Airtex Products.
Brad is the son of Bill and Sharon Young. He is the grandson of the late Ivan and Margaret Young, and Frank and the late Kay Baker. A 2003 graduate of Wayne City High School, and 2005 graduate of Rend Lake College, obtaining his Automotive Technology degree. His is currently employed at the City of Fairfield.
Justn and Brad will be married on May 25, 2013 at Oak Valley Church in Geff, IL at 2p.m. All family and friends are invited.
Vaughan Weds Westall
Miss Jessica Lauren Vaughan and Mr. Justin Wayne Westall were united in marriage on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 4:30 in the afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Fairfield, IL. The ceremony was officiated by the Bride’s cousin, Pastor Kenny Gooch with around 400 guests attending a dinner and dance reception following the ceremony at the Floral Hall at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Fairfield. The bride is the daughter of Randy & Carol Vaughan of Fairfield, IL. She is the Granddaughter of Richard and Pat Vaughan, Ken and Harriet Nale, and Tom and Nita Seaman all of Fairfield, IL. The groom is the son of Doug and Cheryl Westall of Olney, IL. He is the grandson of Gene and Alberta Diesser and the late Donald and Marjorie Westall all of Olney, IL.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of ivory organza and lace. The bodice of the dress was highlighted with subtle ruching and ruffled trim with an empire waist that features beautiful beaded detail and the fit-and-flare skirt was adorned with elegant embellished lace and a chapel train. The gown was complimented by a single tier veil with scalloped edge trimmed in large bead and crystal motif. The bride carried a bouquet of calla lilies, roses & ranunculus complimented by crystals, pearls, and green accents. The groom wore a black tuxedo with an ivory shirt, vest and, tie.
Tosha Rutter and Jenni Carey served as Maids of Honor. Bridesmaids included: Jenna Richardson, Chelsea Hardy, Erin Jones, Nicole Gooch, Hillary Vaughan, Becky Vaughan, Stephanie Westall, Ashley Westall, Abby Vaughan, and Grace Frey. The maids of honor and bridesmaids all wore empire waist, floor-length gowns in green chiffon that were accented with crystal beading along the sweetheart neckline and carried a bundle of white calla lilies with turquoise, green, and pearl accents. Flower Girls were Ella Gooch, Brecken Meiners, and Kiersten Vaughan. They wore turquoise tea-length dresses with green sashes. Program and Guest Registry attendants were Cayley Meiners and Jenna Meiners.
Mica Rist and Clay Seals served as Best Men. Groomsmen included: Zach Weber, Drew Goff, Ryan Weesner, Patrick Dee, TJ Vaughan, Jeremy Vaughan (via iPad due to his current deployment to Cuba in the USAF), Craig Rennier, Dusty Daughtery, Andy Vaughan, and Tommy Oilar. The Best Men and Groomsmen wore a black tuxedo, ivory shirt, and green vest and tie. The Ring Bearers were Asher Gooch and Kamden Vaughan. They wore a black tuxedo with an ivory shirt and turquoise vest and tie. Ushers for the ceremony were Jarod Lamb, Chris Geier, Jonathon Fryburger, and Jason Gallagher. The ushers wore a black tuxedo with ivory shirt and turquoise vest and tie.
Jessica is a 2008 graduate of Fairfield Community High School and a 2010 graduate of Southern Illinois University of Carbondale with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. She is currently employed full time through the University of Illinois Extension Office as the 4-H Program Coordinator for Richland County in Olney, IL. Justin is a 2006 graduate of West Richland High school and a 2010 graduate of Southern Illinois University of Carbondale with a Bachelor’s Degree in Plant and Soil Science. He is currently employed full time at his family farm in Olney.
The couple honeymooned at the Sandals La Toc Resort in St. Lucia enjoying the beach, zip lining through the rain forest, snorkeling, speedboat tour of the island, swimming in the Piton Mountains Waterfalls, and taking an all-natural Sulfar Mud Bath in the springs. Jessica & Justin currently reside in Olney, IL.
Dr. Mark and Teresa Litherland of Albion, Illinois are happy to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Katie Litherland, to Jason Blankenbaker, son of Dan and Vicky Blankenbaker of Robinson, Illinois.
Katie graduated from Edwards County High School in 2007 and received her Associates in Science and Arts in 2008. She received a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Illinois University in Communication Disorders and Sciences. Katie is currently finishing her Master’s of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology at Eastern Illinois University. She will graduate May 4, 2013.
Jason graduated from Robinson High School in 2002. He received a Bachelor of Science in History and a minor in Social Sciences from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Master’s in Educational Administration from Eastern Illinois University. Jason is currently employed at Oblong Grade School as a Junior High Science teacher. He also coaches football, basketball and track.

Amanda is a homeschool graduate and is currently employed at the Albion Veterinary Clinic.
Trenton is a 2003 graduate of Fairfield Community High School. He attended Frontier Community College where he obtained an Associate Degree in Applied Science. He is currently self-employed training Standardbred racehorses.

John is the grandson of the late John L. and Bonetta Brown of Crane, Sandy Black of Kansas City, MO and the Late Robert Savage.
