Together with their parents, Gretchen Doty and Travis Deitz are pleased to announce their upcoming wedding.
Gretchen is the daughter of Donny & Stephanie Doty of Fairfield. She is the granddaughter of Jim & Mary White and Cleve & Rita Doty all of Fairfield. Gretchen is a 2009 graduate of Wayne City High School and a 2011 graduate of Rend Lake College. She is employed as a Graphic Designer at HB Williamson Company.
Travis is the son of Steve & Peggy Deitz of Keenes. He is the grandson of Bob & Jackie Deitz & the late Sharon Deitz of Mt. Vernon and the late Marsh & the late Marjorie Youngblood of Keenes. Travis is a 2008 graduate of Wayne City High School and a 2011 graduate of Kaskaskia College. He is employed as a Physical Therapist Assistant at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital.
The wedding will be held at The First Christian Church in Fairfield on Saturday, October 12th. Formal invitations have been sent.
Katie Ann Harvey and Joshua Thomas Pope were united in marriage May 25, 2013 at 4:00 in the afternoon at New Beginnings Church in Fairfield, IL. The ceremony was officiated by the groom’s father Pastor Tom Pope. The bride is the daughter of Pat and Judith Ann Harvey of Wayne City, IL and the granddaughter of Rosa Lee Harvey and the late Lloyd Harvey and the Late Clyde and Bernadine Hall of Wayne City. The groom is the son of Tom and Deb Pope of Geff, IL and the grandson of Helen Tedrick and the late Elvin Tedrick of Mulberry Grove, IL and the late Leroy and Dorothy Pope of Fairfield, IL.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless gossamer gown with a drop waist. The bodice was highlighted with subtle ruching and floral appliqués. The organza overlay on the skirt was adorned with floral appliqués and a chapel train. The fingertip length two-tier veil featured a beaded scallop edge with beaded flowers and sequins. Small shiny iridescent discs accented the veil. The headband featured a floral motif with clusters of rhinestones. She carried a bouquet of silk calla lilies and peacock feathers accented with iridescent pearl sprays brought together with an organza teal bow with a vintage broach that belonged to the bride’s great grandmother. Attached to the bouquet were small charm picture frames with pictures of the bride and groom’s deceased grandparents.
Maid of honor was Christe Jarvis, Vincennes, IN, college roommate. She wore a short brown cotton sateen strapless dress gathered at the waist with ruching on the bodice. Bridesmaids were Kayla Peters, Toledo, IL, sister of the groom; Dae Harvey, Fairfield, IL, sister-in-law of the bride; and Rachel Johnson, Belle Rive, IL friend of the bride. The bridesmaids wore short brown cotton sateen dresses pleated at the waist with Y-necklines and ruching above the waistlines. The attendants carried a single silk calla lily accented with dried willow and white berries tied with organza teal ribbon streamers. Flower girl was Karigan Nicole Harvey, niece of the bride. She wore a floor length white satin spaghetti strap dress with pick-up skirt and brown sash. She carried a brown vintage basket accented with a teal bow and calla lilies and dropped brown silk hearts and teal feathers.
Best man was Jeremy Witter, Fairfield, IL. Groomsmen were Jarrod Pope, Geff, IL, brother of the groom; Patrick Harvey, Fairfield, IL, brother of the bride; and Justin Curry, Fairfield, IL, friend of the groom. Ring bearer was Keaton Charles Harvey, Fairfield, IL, nephew of the bride. The groom wore a black tuxedo, white shirt and teal vest with teal tie. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos, white shirts and brown vests with brown ties. The ring bearer wore a black tuxedo, white shirt and teal cummerbund with teal bow tie and carried a brown satin ring pillow.
Prior to the ceremony a picture slide show of the couple was shown from birth to the present time. The alter was beautifully decorated with a teal satin background flanked by two large peace lilies. The unity candle was on a table that belonged to the bride’s great great grandmother. The bridal march was played by Kristin Musgrave, Wayne City, IL.
Brett and Shari Berger of Albion would like to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Kayleigh Elizabeth Berger to Jeremy Keith Witter of Fairfield.
Jeremy is the son of Don and Virginia Witter of Fairfield.
Maternal grandparents are Scharlene Fewkes of Bone Gap and Mike St. Ledger of Albion. Paternal grandparents are Janet Spaulding and the late Ronald Berger. Paternal great-grandparents are Alvena Hasewinkle and Fred Berger.
Jeremy is a 2007 graduate of Fairfield Community High School and is co-owner and photographer at Iconik Studios in Fairfield, IL. Jeremy is a volunteer member of the Fairfield Rural Fire Department.
Kayleigh is a 2012 graduate of Edwards County High School. She received her Associate of Science degree at Wabash Valley College in May, 2013, and is continuing her bachelor’s degree in business.
Kayleigh and Jeremy will unite in marriage on September 28, 2013 during a country wedding ceremony in rural Wayne County. Formal invitations are being sent.
Emily Rebekah is the daughter of Roger and Shari Herron of Jackson, TN. She is the granddaughter of Rev. Jimmy and Yvonne Clay of Ripley, TN and the late John Herron and Joyce Decker. Emily is a 2007 graduate of Ripley High School in Ripley, TN. She graduated from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN in May 2011 with a Bacherlors Degree in Music (Church Emphasis). Emily is employed at the First Baptist Church in Wayne City as secretary/custodian.
Levi Ross is the son of Greg and Cindy Irwin of Wayne City. He is the grandson of JB and Ollie Mae Tyler of Fairfield and the late Virgil and Alma Irwin of Wayne City. He is the great grandson of the late Lucille Alwerdt of Fairfield. Levi is a 2007 graduate of Wayne City High School. He graduated from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN in May 2011 with a Bachelors Degree in History/Professional Education. Levi is employed at Wal-Greens Distribution Center in Mt. Vernon, IL.
Levi and Emily will make their home in Wayne City.

Kory is a 2008 graduate of WCHS, he then graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Biology from EIU in 2012 and is now attending U of I College of Medicine at Rockford, Il where he will graduate in 2016. He plans to practice family medicine in the Fairfield area once he completes residency.
Their wedding will be held on September 28, 2013 at Evergreen Christian Church in Salem, Il with the reception following at the Floral Hall in Fairfield. Formal invitations have been sent.
Jessica Pearce and Logan Bailey to wed.
Together with their parents and her son, Journey, Jessica Joan Pearce and Logan Matthew Bailey are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Jessica is the daughter of Joe and Cristy Pearce of Fairfield. She is the Granddaughter of the lte Bill Sons and Joan Sons of Fairfield and Ron and Rosalee Pearce of Rinard. Jessica is a 2009 graduate of FCHS. She will graduate from USI in December 2013 with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education.
Logan is the son of Matthew Bailey of Albion and Kim Milligan and the late Leon Milligan of Grayville. He is the Grandson of Gary and Jean Ellen Bisch of Grayville and Fred Bailey and Betty Bailey of Louisville, Il. Logan is a 2008 graduate of Grayville High School. He graduated in 2012 from SIUE with a degree in Business Management and Marketing. Logan is co-owner of the family oil business.

Jim and DeMara DelBene of Sesser would like to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Chynna Leigh to Ethan Kent Keyser. A July 11, 2013 wedding is planned in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with a small group of family and friends.
Chynna is a 2008 graduate of Sesser High School, and a 2011 graduate of Eastern IL University, Charleston. She has recently been hired to fill the position of 3rd grade teacher at Johnsonville Grade School in the North Wayne School District.
Ethan is a 2008 graduate of Cisne High School, and a 2011 graduate of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He is employed as the Ag instructor at West Richland High School in Noble.
Ethan is the son of Greg and Kim Keyser of Geff, and the grandson of Walter and Bernadine Keyser, Geff, the late Iva Keyser, and Mike and Carol Spittler of Martinsville, IL. Chynna is the granddaughter of Deon and Elaine Seiler, Sesser, and Alex and Lena DelBene, Girard, OH.

Wayne and Tena Michels of Ellery would like to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter Crystal Michels to Brock Knackmus, son of Rachael Knackmus of West Salem and Jackie Knackmus of Vincennes, IN.
Crystal is the granddaughter of Larry and Kate Michels of Ellery, IL and the late Robert and Shirley Lyons of Virginia, IL. Crystal is a 2010 graduate of Edwards County High School and a 2012 graduate of Wabash Valley College with an associate’s degree in both Agriculture Production and Agribusiness. She is now attending Southern Illinois University of Carbondale majoring in animal production. She is currently employed as an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay.
Brock is the grandson of Betty and the late Firman Tipton, and Jack and Cheryl Knackmus all of West Salem. He is a 2011 graduate of Edwards County High School and a 2012 graduate of Frontier Community College with a certificate in electrical distribution systems. Brock is currently employed through Michels Farm.
Brock and Crystal will join together as one on October 19, 2013 in Albion, Illinois. Formal invitations will be sent out.

Charles Johnston of Cisne and Mary (Warren) Atkins of Fairfield were united in marriage on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Charles is the son of Gayn and Mona Johnston of Cisne and Mary is the daughter of Betty Warren of Fairfield and Gary Warren of Fairfield.
Family and friends gathered at the lake behind the couples home in Cisne to witness the ceremony conducted by Pastor Troy Shook beginning at 4:00p.m. The wedding party consisted of Charles; his daughter, Peyton; Mary; and her son, Noah. A reception/dinner immediately followed the ceremony.
