Gregory and Young to Wed

Together with their parents, Justn Gregory and Brad Young are excited to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Justn is the daughter of Dewayne and Nancy Gregory. She is the granddaughter of the late Veda and John Dale Baker, and Sonny and Violet Thomason. A 2006 graduate of Fairfield Community High School, and 2010 graduate of Frontier Community College, obtaining her Associates Degree in Science and Arts, and Administration Info. Technology degree. She is currently employed at Airtex Products.

Brad is the son of Bill and Sharon Young. He is the grandson of the late Ivan and Margaret Young, and Frank and the late Kay Baker. A 2003 graduate of Wayne City High School, and 2005 graduate of Rend Lake College, obtaining his Automotive Technology degree. His is currently employed at the City of Fairfield.

Justn and Brad will be married on May 25, 2013 at Oak Valley Church in Geff, IL at 2p.m. All family and friends are invited.

Miss Jessica Lauren Vaughan and Mr. Justin Wayne Westall were united in marriage on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 4:30 in the afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Fairfield, IL.  The ceremony was officiated by the Bride’s cousin, Pastor Kenny Gooch with around 400 guests attending a dinner and dance reception following the ceremony at the Floral Hall at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Fairfield.  The bride is the daughter of Randy & Carol Vaughan of Fairfield, IL.  She is the Granddaughter of Richard and Pat Vaughan, Ken and Harriet Nale, and Tom and Nita Seaman all of Fairfield, IL.  The groom is the son of Doug and Cheryl Westall of Olney, IL.  He is the grandson of Gene and Alberta Diesser and the late Donald and Marjorie Westall all of Olney, IL.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of ivory organza and lace.  The bodice of the dress was highlighted with subtle ruching and ruffled trim with an empire waist that features beautiful beaded detail and the fit-and-flare skirt was adorned with elegant embellished lace and a chapel train.  The gown was complimented by a single tier veil with scalloped edge trimmed in large bead and crystal motif.  The bride carried a bouquet of calla lilies, roses & ranunculus complimented by crystals, pearls, and green accents.  The groom wore a black tuxedo with an ivory shirt, vest and, tie.

Tosha Rutter and Jenni Carey served as Maids of Honor.  Bridesmaids included: Jenna Richardson, Chelsea Hardy, Erin Jones, Nicole Gooch, Hillary Vaughan, Becky Vaughan, Stephanie Westall, Ashley Westall, Abby Vaughan, and Grace Frey.  The maids of honor and bridesmaids all wore empire waist, floor-length gowns in green chiffon that were accented with crystal beading along the sweetheart neckline and carried a bundle of white calla lilies with turquoise, green, and pearl accents.  Flower Girls were Ella Gooch, Brecken Meiners, and Kiersten Vaughan.  They wore turquoise tea-length dresses with green sashes. Program and Guest Registry attendants were Cayley Meiners and Jenna Meiners.

Mica Rist and Clay Seals served as Best Men.  Groomsmen included: Zach Weber, Drew Goff, Ryan Weesner, Patrick Dee, TJ Vaughan, Jeremy Vaughan (via iPad due to his current deployment to Cuba in the USAF), Craig Rennier, Dusty Daughtery, Andy Vaughan, and Tommy Oilar.  The Best Men and Groomsmen wore a black tuxedo, ivory shirt, and green vest and tie.  The Ring Bearers were Asher Gooch and Kamden Vaughan.  They wore a black tuxedo with an ivory shirt and turquoise vest and tie.  Ushers for the ceremony were Jarod Lamb, Chris Geier, Jonathon Fryburger, and Jason Gallagher.  The ushers wore a black tuxedo with ivory shirt and turquoise vest and tie.

Jessica is a 2008 graduate of Fairfield Community High School and a 2010 graduate of Southern Illinois University of Carbondale with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.  She is currently employed full time through the University of Illinois Extension Office as the 4-H Program Coordinator for Richland County in Olney, IL.  Justin is a 2006 graduate of West Richland High school and a 2010 graduate of Southern Illinois University of Carbondale with a Bachelor’s Degree in Plant and Soil Science.  He is currently employed full time at his family farm in Olney.

The couple honeymooned at the Sandals La Toc Resort in St. Lucia enjoying the beach, zip lining through the rain forest, snorkeling, speedboat tour of the island, swimming in the Piton Mountains Waterfalls, and taking an all-natural Sulfar Mud Bath in the springs.  Jessica & Justin currently reside in Olney, IL.

 


Litherland and Blankenbaker to Wed

Dr. Mark and Teresa Litherland of Albion, Illinois are happy to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Katie Litherland, to Jason Blankenbaker, son of Dan and Vicky Blankenbaker of Robinson, Illinois.

Katie graduated from Edwards County High School in 2007 and received her Associates in Science and Arts in 2008.  She received a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Illinois University in Communication Disorders and Sciences.  Katie is currently finishing her Master’s of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology at Eastern Illinois University.  She will graduate May 4, 2013.

Jason graduated from Robinson High School in 2002.  He received a Bachelor of Science in History and a minor in Social Sciences from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Master’s in Educational Administration from Eastern Illinois University.  Jason is currently employed at Oblong Grade School as a Junior High Science teacher.  He also coaches football, basketball and track.

Katie and Jason will be married on May 25, 2013 at Highland Church of Christ in Robinson, IL.  Formal Invitations are being sent.


Amanda Hanson and Trenton Watson

Amanda is the daughter of Danny and Michele Iverson of Ellery and the granddaughter of Elizabeth Boewe and the late Marion Boewe of West Salem and Fred and Lena Iverson of Albion.

Trenton is the son of David and Brenda Watson of Fairfield and the grandson of Virginia Ellis and the late Lowell Ellis of Fairfield and Raymond Watson and the late Daisy Watson of Fairfield.

Amanda is a homeschool graduate and is currently employed at the Albion Veterinary Clinic.

Trenton is a 2003 graduate of Fairfield Community High School. He attended Frontier Community College where he obtained an Associate Degree in Applied Science. He is currently self-employed training Standardbred racehorses.

The couple will marry on May 11th, 2013 at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Fairfield.

Jenny Tannahill and John Brown

Jenny graduated from Cisne Community High School in 2002 and received her Associates of Science and Arts Degree at Frontier Community College in 2004. She is currently a member of the Joint Active Systems Team at the Bonutti Clinic Reasearch Center in Effingham, IL.

John graduated from Crane Community High School in 2001 and attended the College of the Ozarks in Missouri. He now works with Stevens Industries located in Teutopolis, IL.

Jenny is the granddaughter of Lyle and Marjorie Allen of Johnsonville, IL and the late Ted and Lorene Tannahill of Cisne and the great granddaughter of Pearl Burroughs of Johnsonville. John is the grandson of the late John L. and Bonetta Brown of Crane, Sandy Black of Kansas City, MO and the Late Robert Savage.

John and Jenny will marry on April 13, 2013 at Sam Dale Lake in Johnsonville, IL. Reception to follow in the large gray building east of Johnsonville. Invitations have be sent.


Nicole Fyie and Jared Vaughn

Nicole graduated from Fairfield Community High School in 2002 and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2006. She obtained her Medical Degree from University of Illinois at Rockford in 2010 and is currently completing her third year of Family Medicine Residency at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Jared graduated from Fairfield Community High School in 2001 and received his Associate’s Degree from Frontier Community College in 2002.  He obtained his Degree in Mortuary Science from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 2003.  He owns Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Nicole is the granddaughter of Patricia McNeill & the late Robert McNeill and the late Herbert & Lorene Fyie.  Jared is the grandson of Bob & Thelma Johnson and Eldo & the late Phyllis Vaughn of Fairfield.

Jared and Nicole will marry on July 13, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Evansville, IN.  Formal invitations will be sent.


Sarah Sneed and Derek Moore

Together with their parents, Sarah Renee Sneed and Derek Wayne Moore are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Sarah is the daughter of Don and Lea Sneed of Bluford, IL.  She is the granddaughter of Minnie Sneed and the late Marion Sneed; and Murvin and Virginia McCord of Wayne City, IL.  Sarah is a 2005 graduate of Webber Township High School.  She obtained her Associate of Arts and Science Degrees at Rend Lake College in 2007.  She attended Eastern Illinois University where she obtained a Bachelors Degree in Elementary and Middle Level Education in 2009.  She is currently a first grade teacher at Bluford Grade School.

 Derek is the son of Jeff and Karen Moore of Bonnie, IL.  He is the grandson of Terry and Connie Moore and Wayne and Brenda Kash of Bonnie, IL.  Derek is a 2006 graduate of Mount Vernon Township High School.  He obtained his Associates Degree in Applied Sciences at Rend Lake College in 2008.  After graduation he returned to the family farm and currently owns and operates Moore Seed Supply.

The couple will marry on August 3, 2013 at the Ina Freewill Baptist Church with a dinner and dance reception to follow at the Rend Lake Resort.


Bethany Clodfelter and Lucas Moore

Bethany is the daughter of Ed and Carolyn Clodfelter of Parkersburg, Illinois.  She is the granddaughter of the late Raymond & Verity Clodfelter and the late Lowell & Norma Henderson.  After graduating from Edwards County High School in 2009,  she attended Wabash Valley Junior College and obtained an Associate Degree in 2010.  Bethany earned her Bachelor’s Degree in 2012, majoring in Elementary Education.  Presently, she substitutes in the Edwards County Schools and is a part-time employee for Citizens National Bank of Albion.

Lucas is the son of Russell and Dena Moore of Ellery, Illinois.  He is the grandson of Leroy & Betty Moore and the late Leroy & Dorothy Pope.  Lucas was also a 2009 graduate from Edwards County High School then attended Wabash Valley Junior College.  He earned an Associate Degree in Advanced Manufacturing in 2011.  Currently, he is an employee of Racster Commercial Mowing and Landscaping in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.

A July 6, 2013 wedding is planned. Formal invitations have been sent.

Ashlee Foley and Kyle Strole

Ashlee Dawn Foley, 24 of Fairfield and Kyle Edwin Strole,  25 of McLeansboro, announce their engagement and up coming wedding. Ashlee is the daughter of Vince and Shelley Wodicker of Fairfield and Brain and Mindy Foley of Norris City and Goddaughter of Paula and Kelly Karcher of McLeansboro.  She is a 2007 graduate of Fairfield Community High School and currently is employed at Trade Industries in McLeansboro.  Kyle is the son of Kevin and Karen Strole and Evenlyn Riley from McLeansboro.  He is a 2006 graduate of McLeansboro High School and is employed at Irvin’s Italiana in McLeansboro.  The couple is planning an April 20, 2013 wedding at the TurningPoint Church of God in McLeansboro.  They will reside in McLeansboro.


Rachelle Ann Gillard and Nicholas Anthony Zdan

Rachelle is the granddaughter of Eddie & Shelby Gillard of Mt.Erie and the late Bill & Marie Krug of Mt.Erie. Rachelle graduated from Cisne High School in 2008 and received her Associate’s in Applied Science and Arts from Frontier Community College in December 2009. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Marketing from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in May 2012.

Nick is the grandson of Stan & Ann Zdan of Cisne and Ronald & Charlotte Aissie of Carterville.
Nick graduated from Cisne High School in 2008, started at Frontier Community College then transferred to Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2009. Nick joined the United States Air Force and graduated from Basic Training in September 2012. Following his graduation, Nick has been to Keesler AFB in Biloxi, Mississippi for the first half of his Avionic Tech School training and is currently finishing up the second half at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Nick and Rachelle plan to exchange their vows April 27th, 2013 at the Enterprise United Methodist Church. The couple will be stationed at Hurlburt Field AFB in Mary Esther, Florida. Formal invitations will be sent.
