68-year-old Fairfield resident, William Allen Carter died at 11:41 p.m. Friday, March 29 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He had worked in the oilfields.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Carter of Fairfield; daughters, Dawn Marie Carter of Fairfield, Amy Cyr of Snyder, CO, Marsha Westhoff of Log Lane Village, CO and Tammy Barkdoll of Fort Morgan, CO; a son, William Locke of Fairfield; step-sons, John Locke of Newburgh, IN, Jason Locke of Fairfield, Lee Allen Elliott of Grayville, Brian Elliott of Brush, CO and Shannon Elliott of Mancato, MN; a sister, Barbara Terry of Albion; a brother, Daniel Carter of Albion; 28 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Services for William Allen Carter will be 12 noon Wednesday, April 3 at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Centerville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 3 until the time of service at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.
