81-year-old McLeansboro resident, Howard Hoskins died at 8:55 p.m. Monday, July 27 at the VA Community Living Center in Marion. He worked as an appliance service technician. A U.S. Army veteran, he served as a Private First Class from 1954 through 1956.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda; a son, Craig Hoskins and wife Rhonda of Mt. Vernon; a daughter, Angie Colbert and husband Mark of Norris City; a step-son, Jeff Reed and wife Debbie of McLeansboro; a step-daughter, Audrey Skropka of McLeansboro; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dee Hoskins and wife Dorothy of Norris City, Robert Hoskins and wife Ruby of Broughton and Eddie Hoskins and wife Fran of Norris City; a sister, Frances Hamblin of Norris City; a sister-in-law, Judy Webb and husband Steve of McLeansboro and a brother-in-law, Gale Beauchum and wife Nancy of Herrin along with several nieces and nephews.

Services for Howard Hoskins will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 30 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with burial in Powell Cemetery at Norris City.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service Thursday, July 30 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice and will be accepted at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
