Edward George Miller

Edward Miller Photo94-year-old former McLeansboro resident, Edward George Miller of Centralia died at 4:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 at Fireside Nursing Home in Centralia, IL. A WW II veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in a field artillery unit in the South Pacific. He was a retired carpenter.

Survivors include a son, Edward David Miller and wife Donna of Pinkneyville, IL; two daughters, Mary Ann Sands and husband Bill of Centralia and Carolyn Sue Sheraden and husband Randy of Sebring, FL; a sister, Evelyn Koenigstein of Sebring, FL; four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Edward George Miller will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with burial in Sneed Cemetery at McLeansboro.

Visitation will be noon until the time of service Monday, Nov. 23 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 5 at the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Centralia.
