Pauline Caroline Stoltz

Pauline Caroline Stoltz, 83, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois died Thursday, November 19, 2015 at United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, Illinois.

Pauline was a very active member of Lancaster United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Illinois. She served as a Trustee of the Church and as the President of the Kaskaskia River District United Methodist Women. She served on the Board of the United Methodist Village and was a volunteer there. Much of Pauline’s life was spent in teaching the children of Wabash County. She taught for twenty-four years at Lancaster School and eighteen years at Mt. Carmel North School. She was a member and served as treasurer of Wabash/Edwards County Retired Teachers Association and Kappa Delta Pi.

Survivors include a sister and aunt are her sister, Betty Stoltz of Mt. Carmel; brother, George (Shirley) Stoltz of Pesotum, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Connie (Gary, (dec.)) Hadra, Ed (Mary) Stoltz, Gary (Margaret) Stoltz, Bob (Janie) Saner, Gail Saner, Joan (Scott) Reeder, David (Steffini) Stoltz, April (John) Pica; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Pauline Stoltz will be Monday, November 23, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel. Her funeral service will be Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Lancaster United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Illinois, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Harrison Cemetery in Lancaster.

Memorials may be made to the Lancaster United Methodist Church, Highway 11, Lancaster, Illinois 62863 and will be accepted at the Short-Cunningham Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel.
