70-year-old Keenes resident, Sarah Violet Haile died at 6:20 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 29 at her home. She had been a school teacher for 11 years at Bluford Grade School and had served as a missionary teacher. She was a member of the Ten Post Oak Baptist Church in Keenes.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Haile of Keenes; two sons, Douglas Haile and wife Karen of Keenes and Rusty Haile of Keenes; brothers-in-law, Harold Haile and wife Mary, Ray Haile and Earl Haile and wife Rhonda; sisters-in-law, Florence Estes and husband Lynn, Wanda Spark and husband Karl and Fern Haile; nephews, Mike Quartana and Larry Field; nieces, Theresa Niles and husband Kenny, Linda Field, Sandra Fry and Kay Boozer and husband Jim; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Sarah Violet Haile will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3 at the Archie Sanders Memorial Chapel at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City with burial in Thomason Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 – 7 Wednesday evening, Dec. 2 at the Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.
Visitation will also be 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3 until the time of service at the Archie Sanders Memorial Chapel in Wayne City.
The Hughey Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is in charge of all the arrangements.
