Charles Gene Wheat

wheatCharles Gene Wheat, 81, of Heber Springs, Arkansas died Sunday, December 13, 2015. A native of Fairfield, he was a U.S. Army veteran and member of the Chastain Chapel Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lonna Faye Wheat; two daughters, Deborah Jean Rossman of Eagle Point, Oregon and Genee Dianne Ponder of Saline, Louisiana; four grandchildren: Melanie Heberer, Susan Dickinson, Lisa Rossman, and Rachael Watson; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two siblings: Robert Wheat of Wayne City, Illinois and Mary Alice Tetrick of Geff, Illinois; three step-children: Mark Evan Musgrave, Valerie Ann Forrest, and Charles Harold Musgrave; five step-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Funeral services for Charles Gene Wheat will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16 at Chastain Chapel in Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas with burial in Chastain Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the time of service, Wednesday, Dec. 16 at the church.

The Heber Springs Funeral Home in Heber Springs, Arkansas is in charge of all the arrangements.
