Mendel L. Lenear

Lenear90-year-old Parkersburg resident, Mendel L. Lenear died Sunday, Jan. 17 in Olney. He had owned and operated Lenear Garage with his brother, Vernon. A U.S. Navy veteran of WW II, he started working at the garage as a mechanic when he returned from the war and continued working until he retired at the age of 87.

Survivors include a daughter, Crystal Clodfelter and husband Ernie of Calhoun, IL; grandchildren, Nicole Clodfelter, Heath Clodfelter, Derick Lenear, Dena Smith and Carrie Lenear; great-grandchildren, Levi and Seth Clodfelter, Lucas and Sydney Lenear and Deniyis Smith; sisters, Virginia Dunahee and Norma Williamson and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mendel L. Lenear will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 23 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney with burial and full military rites at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 23 until the time of service at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.

Memorials may be made to the Parkersburg Community Building or Oak Hill Cemetery and will be accepted at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.
