Charles Fitzgerald, 85 of Fairfield died at 3:05 PM, Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He had worked on the railroad, was a truck driver, and a veteran of the Army.
Charles is survived by sons Charles Ray (Nora) Fitzgerald of Irvington, IL and Edward Jay (April) Fitzgerald of Noble, IL, daughters Helen May Brown of Olney, Brenda Fay (Eldred) Simpson of Fairfield, Tammy Kay (Tim) Brown of Lawrenceville, IL, Sherri Renee Bowers of Fairfield, Cindy Sue (Jimmy) Massey of Fairfield, and Sharon Ann (Jerry) Matthews of Xenia, IL, a brother Harry Fitzgerald of Shelbyville, IL, a sister Pansy Markham of Fairfield, IL, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services for Charles Fitzgerald will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 2 PM at the Koontz Cemetery with military rites.
There will be no visitation and everyone is asked to go directly to the cemetery.
