Joy Moore, 73 of Bone Gap died Tuesday, February 02, 2016 at her residence in Bone Gap. She was a member of the West Village Christian Church, where she served as a piano player, sang with the Harmony Belles and assisted with Vacation Bible School.
Survivors include her husband, Rick of Bone Gap, IL, three sons and their wives: Morgan (Belinda) Moore of Bone Gap, Mason (Stacey) Moore of Albion, IL and Murray (Cheryl) Moore of Mattoon, IL, a brother, Roy (Sharon) Myers of New Boston, IN; 7 grandchildren: Dakota Moore, Lincoln Moore, Maverick Moore, Tyler Jamison, Hannah Moore, Meagan Moore and Mariah Moore. Joy is also survived by a 2 nephews; Jeff Myers of Dublin, OH, Brett Myers of Euless, TX and special cousin, L.A. Ferne Lassen of Red Oak, IA, and also caregiver and close friend, Joyce Garner.
A Celebration of Life Service for Joy Moore will be 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5 at the West Village Christian Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 – 7 Thursday evening, Feb. 4 at the West Village Christian Church.
Memorials may be made to either the Oil Belt Christian Service Camp or the West Village Christian Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
