Jack G. Case

Jack CaseJack G. Case, 73 of Effingham, IL formerly of the Johnsonville area passed away at 7:03AM Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Mr. Case was a retired FBI Agent having served in that capacity from 1970 to 1993. He retired out of the Effingham FBI office where he was the Senior Resident Agent from 1988 to 1993, covering 13 Southern Illinois counties including Wayne County. He served in the US Air Force as an Intelligence Officer during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1970, attaining the rank of Captain.

He was the current minister at Providence General Baptist Church near Johnsonville serving for five years in that capacity. He was a member of the Brotherhood of the General Baptist Association. He was a pastor, Sunday school teacher, served on the Council of the Association of the General Baptist, and a delegate to the National Mission Summit.

Survivors include his wife Janice Case of Effingham, IL; one daughter Kimberly Ann (Tod) Jackson of Effingham, IL; one son Kendall Glen (Jacqueline) Case of Homewood, IL; grandchildren Dylan (Elizabeth) Jackson, Brady, Cooper, and Kaci Jackson, Rachel Case and one on the way; two brothers Donnie Burl (Linda) Case of Manteno, IL and Freddie Dale Case of St. Petersburg, FL.

Funeral services for Jack Case will be 11AM Friday, March 25, 2016 at Providence General Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 9-11AM Friday at the church. Burial will be in Johnsonville Cemetery with full military honors at the graveside.

Memorials to the Providence General Baptist Church and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
