61-year-old Michael Ray Smith died on February 13, 2013. Born in Morris, Illinois, he was a union pipe-fitter by trade and used his mechanical skills to customize motorcycles. He spent the majority of his life in Southern California, Oregon, Las Vegas and Montana.
Survivors include his father, Paul Smith; brothers, Lyndell and sister-in-law Tammy Smith; Carter and sister-in-law Friedreike Smith; a sister, Kelly and Brother-in-law Daryl Bauer; daughters, Elaine and son-in-law Jason Nocito; Daughter, Lynde and son-In-Law Matt Stephens; a son, Michael LaFreniere; nephews, Bryan, Luke, Keith, Matthew, Eric, Tim, Chris; Nieces, Amber, Katy and Stephanie; and granddaughters; Larissa and Mckenzie.
His body was cremated and hee will be laid to rest at 11 a.m. Saturday April 9 at Graceland Cemetery in Albion.
There will be no visitation. Family and friends are welcome to meet at the cemetery.
