Evelyn Hering, 91, of rural Albion died Monday, June 6, 2016 at her home. She graduated from Browns High School in 1942, and then worked at Schrader’s Store in Browns for one year. The rest of her married life she was a farm wife.
Survivors include three son, Ross (Alice) of Bone Gap, Steve (LeeAnn) of Browns, and Tom of Albion; two daughters: Anita (Dick) Hawkins of Brownsburg, Indiana and Jeanette (Eldon) Broster of Chatham, Illinois; Twelve grandchildren: Lori Fulks, Linda Dafoe, Daniel Hawkins, Layna Goodin, Brett Hering, Dionne Kennedy, Carissa Troyer, Julie VanDerSlik, Jennifer Aper, Renee Scannell, Sheila Hering, and Eric Hering; 19 great-grandchildren: Mikayla, Brynna, Taylor, Hope, Ryley, Ashley, Lucas, Ellie, Maddie, Kenzie, Kyle, Lindsey, Lucas, Sam, Sydney, Hannah, Katie, Suzanne, and Michelle; and two great-great-grandchildren: Avery and Ella.
Funeral services for Evelyn Hering will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion with burial in Graceland Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12 noon until the time of service at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion.
Memorials may be made to Edwards County Senior Citizens Center or Celtic Hospice and will be accepted at the Ingram Funeral Home of Albion.
