Karen A. Winters, 68, of Flora, Illinois, died at 10:23 p.m., July 17, 2016, at her residence. Karen was born on October 24, 1947, to Karl A. and Dorothy M. (Hale) Holtz in Olney, Illinois. She married Thomas Neal Winters on November 8, 1968. Karen was employed at Gaffner’s Jewelry and Gifts in Olney, Illinois, and later employed by Lucille’s Flower Shop in Flora, Illinois. Karen enjoyed doing crafts, participating in craft shows, and loved doing puzzles. Spending time with her family was her most treasured pastime.
Karen is survived by her husband, Tom Winters of Flora, IL, daughter Dawn Conard and husband Dan of Jasper, IN, grandson Brandon Conard of Jasper, IN, sister Phyllis Rohr and husband Terry of Haubstadt, IN, brother Kerry Holtz and wife Laura of Olney, IL, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
