Johnny Hatcher, age 74, of Flora, passed away on Thursday, July 28, at his home in Flora.
When Johnny was 16 years old, he started working at Bob Greenwood’s and has been a mechanic and owner/operator of Hatcher’s Used Cars ever since. Even in his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and then selling them. He also loved riding and trading horses; and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife: Linda Hatcher of Flora; children: Jim (Darlene) Hatcher of Cisne, Chris (Bev) Britton of Flora, Brent (Carroll) Britton of Flora, Jeff (Kelly) Hatcher of Cisne, Johnny (Mellody) Hatcher Jr. of Cisne, Allen (Holly) Britton of Flora, Patrick (Missy) Britton of Arthur, Sara Hatcher (Larry Billington) of Cisne, Karen Britton of Flora, Rita Hatcher of Kentucky, Drena Boles of Fairfield, Bonnie (Todd) Hall of Oklahoma, Crystal Bailey of Cisne, and Mary Hagen of Effingham; 1 brother: Glen Hatcher of Flora; 1 sister: Lois Fritz of Tennessee; brother-in-law: Leroy (Donna) Stephens of Olney; sisters-in-law: Sharon Harnden of Flora, and Barb (Bob) Kohenskey of Troy, MO; 41 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and a beloved granddog “Myah”.
Funeral services for Johnny Hatcher will be 3 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2016, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, with visitation from 1-3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Bro. Rodney Payne will officiate. Memorial donations may be given to the family to assist with expenses.
