Forrest J. Loyd, 88, of Carmi, Illinois, died Monday, August 01, at Supportive Living of Wabash in Carmi. Forrest was a member of the New Life Center Church in Grayville. He was an avid raccoon hunter and a United States Army veteran.
Survivors include sons Fred (Connie) Loyd, Joe (Marty) Loyd, all of Carmi, Mike (Brenda) Loyd of Ellery, Illinois; daughters Barbara (Dean) Farrar of Griffin, Indiana, Alma “Ami” (Gary) Reinhardt of Louisville, Kentucky; brother Donald (Martha) Loyd of Calhoun, Kentucky; sisters Martha Rose Bolton of Columbia, South Carolina, Ova Lena Hookey, Lattie Ruth Snyder, Doris Jean Dimarco, all of Owensboro, Kentucky;
Grandchildren Kelly Loyd, Jennifer (Brad) Wick, Jeff (Sheila) Loyd, Heather Schaefer, Holly Schaefer, Tony (Jennifer) Loyd, Brittany Loyd, David Farrar, Nina (Benny) Jordan, J.R. (Merri) Farrar, Pam (Scott) Miller; 25 great grandchildren.
Visitation for Forrest J. Loyd will be from 5-7 pm, Wednesday, August 3, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. The Funeral is at 10 am, Thursday, August 4, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville with burial in North Bethel Cemetery in Bellmont, Illinois.
