Janice Marie Duke, 77, of Carmi, Illinois, died Monday, January 2, 2017, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. Janice worked over 27 years at Wabash Christian Retirement Center and spent most of those years as supervisor of housekeeping and laundry.
Survivors include son Carl Duke of Carmi; daughters Doris (Clarence) Blair, Jane (Jeff) Sturgal, all of Carmi; sisters Janet Nash of Sullivan, Indiana, Fran (Jack) Povlin of Vero Beach, Florida; sisters-in-law Rosie DeHart of French Lick, Indiana, Charlotte Duke of Hardinsburg, Kentucky; grandchildren Melissa Brand-Welch (Mike James), Daniel Duke, Becky (Dakota) Broadus, Jordan Williams, Jaden Sturgal; great grandchildren Jackie Welch, Takoda Crockett-Williams, Colton Broadus.
Funeral services for Janice Marie Duke will be 1 p.m. Thursday, January 5 at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi with burial in Union Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service at the Cook Chapel in Carmi.
Memorials may be made to Wabash Christian Retirement Center and will be accepted at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi.
