Voris “Sonny” Draper 84 died at 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 7th.
Survivors include his wife Geraldine “Dene”; five children, Marcia Donoho, Mt. Vernon, Merna Youngblood (Carl), Keenes, Janet Brandt (Don) Mt. Vernon, Paula Joy (Shawn), Mt. Vernon, Andy Draper (Jennifer), Mt. Vernon, and son-in-law Duane Donoho, Texico, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; brothers, Joe Draper of Mt. Vernon and Chris Draper of Wayne City; sisters, Judy Stoltz of Colorado and Jerry Waggoner of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Voris “Sonny” Draper will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in the chapel at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 11:00 am with the service immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Wayne City or SSM Hospice of Illinois at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan and will be accepted at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi.
The Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of all the arrangements.
