88-year-old Sims resident, Edwin Oscar Hubble, died at 12:05 a.m. on Saturday, January 21 at Nature Trail Nursing Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He had been a farmer for many years. Survivors include one daughter, Debra (David) Caldwell of Sims, 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, one sister, Wilhelmine Taylor of Clay City, IL, and two half-sisters, Bertha Sue of Florida and Charlotte of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Funeral services for Edwin Hubble will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 24 at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Buckeye Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
