Russell L. “Pete” Clark – Belle Rive

clarkRussell L. “Pete” Clark, 84 of Belle Rive died Saturday, January 21, 2017 at his home. He worked as a fork lift operator for Caterpillar Tractor in Peoria, IL for 30 years. He is also a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean War, 1952-1954 at the Greenland Thulee Air Force Base.

Survivors include his wife; Joan Clark. Two sons; Gene Russell (Tiffany Hope) Clark of Peoria, IL and David Lee (Angela Renee) Clark of Opdyke, IL. Two daughters; Deborah (Edward) Wilkerson of Belle Rive, IL and Donna Sue (Gene) Leffingwell of Opdyke, IL. Seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; Mike Wilkerson, Tim (Deb) Wilkerson, Eric Wilkerson, Caleb Burrichter, Andrea Burrichter, Levi Clark, Ryan Clark, Tiffany Wesselman, Dakota Church, Dillon Leffingwell and Cassy Leffingwell of Branson, MO. Four great grandchildren; Evan Wilkerson, Landon Wilkerson, Lily Wilkerson and Arriah Leffingwell. Two brothers; Frank Clark of Dahlgren, IL and Richard Clark of McLeansboro, IL. Two sisters; Peggy Bell of McLeansboro, IL and Catherine Spradlin of McLeansboro, IL.
Funeral services for Pete Clark will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Belle Rive Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the Flint-Belle Rive Cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by American Legion Post #141 of Mt. Vernon.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 23, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the Belle Rive Missionary Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Belle Rive Missionary Baptist Church and will be accepted at the church or Gholson Funeral Home.
