51-year-old Fairfield resident, David E. Holmes died at 11:20pm on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon, IL. David had worked at Career Development Center in Fairfield, IL. He was a member of the Fairfield First Baptist Church.
Surviving is his step mother, Mary I. Holmes of Fairfield, IL, one brother, George (Ruth Ann) Holmes of West Salem, IL, two step brothers, Richard (Darlene) Winters and Brad (Shari) Winters all of Fairfield, IL; Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services for David E. Holmes will be held at 2:00pm; Sunday March 12, 2017 at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne, IL with the burial to follow in the Brown Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Saturday March 11, 2017 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
