John M. DeLong, 82 of Carmi, passed away Thursday afternoon June 22, 2017 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital. John drove over the road for 52 years. He was a million-mile driver. He enjoyed stock car racing.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; sons, David (Lela) DeLong and Kelly DeLong; grandchildren, Rachel (Bryan) Ackerman and Lindsey (Daniel) Russell; great-grandchildren, Abigail Dillman, Sean and Alexa Ackerman.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday June 25, 2017 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with Chaplain Mike Fields officiating. Burial will be in Marshall Ferry Cemetery.
