Benjamin Harrison Nation, Jr. – Fairfield

80 year old former Fairfield resident, Benjamin Harrison Nation, Jr. of Lowry City, Missouri died in a fire at his home on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.  He was retired from the oil business and the livestock business and was a US Army veteran of the Viet-Nam War.  He was awarded the Bronze Star.

Survivors include a daughter Debbie Griswold and her husband Victor; a half-brother Art Nation; 2 brothers Sam (Tina) Nation and Joe Nation; 2 sisters Linda Hooper and Judy (Fred) Koehler; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren

A memorial service for Ben Nation will be held at 11AM on Saturday December 9, 2017 at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield Illinois with Pastor Short Sledge officiating.  Burial will be in the Veteran’s section of Maple Hill Cemetery with Military rites held.

Visitation will be from 10AM until the time of service on Saturday at the Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and will be accepted at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of all the arrangements.
