Benjamin Harrison Nation, Jr.

80-year-old former Fairfield resident, Benjamin Harrison Nation, Jr. of Lowry City, MO died Tuesday, Nov. 28 as the result of a fire at his home.  He was retired from the oil business and the livestock business. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and had been awarded the Bronze Star.

Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Griswold and her husband Victor; a half-brother, Art Nation; two brothers, Sam and wife Tina Nation and Joe Nation; two sisters, Linda Hooper and Judy and husband Fred Koehler; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Ben Nation will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in the veteran’s section of Maple Hill Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 until the time of service at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and will be accepted at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.
