Kyle Owen “Woody” Wood, 30, of McLeansboro, formerly of Carmi, passed away at 10:55 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital.He was a 2006 graduate of Carmi White County High School and graduated from WyoTech Institute in Florida. Kyle had farmed and was a handyman.
Kyle is survived by his parents, Ron and Kay Pretzsch, of Carmi; grandmother, Faye Wood, of Albion, IL; four sisters, Shelly (Steve) Cross, of Carmi, IL, Bethany (Jason) Cross-Howell, of Evansville, IN, Megan (Mike) Plummer, of Bridgeport, IL and Kristen (Rob) Frymire, of Evansville, IN; four brothers, Jason (Natalie) Pretzsch, of Indianapolis, IN, Jessie Hise, Jr., of McLeansboro, IL, Jarod Pretzsch, of Springhill, TN and Jeremy Staton, of Fort Collins, CO; nieces and nephews, Ariana Goforth, Allie Haskell and AJ and Collyn Greer; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral service for Kyle Owen “Woody” Wood will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with burial at Big Prairie Cemetery in Carmi.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time 1:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kyle’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi which is in charge of arrangements.
