Michael M. Smith, 69, of Carmi, passed away on January 24, 2018 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, IN. Mr. Smith retired from Elastec. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He belonged to the Carmi American Legion and VFW and loved to work on small engine motors and coin collecting.
He is survived by son, Michael Allen Smith; daughters, Evelyn Murdach, Misty Austin, and Ronda Baylor; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; brother, Steven Smith and sisters, Becky Harmon, Donna Joy and Elaine Jeffrey.
Funeral services for Michael M. Smith will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with b urial at North Maple Ridge Cemetery at Carmi.
Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi.
