Mary Sue Aaron – Mt. Erie Native

85-year-old Mt. Erie native, Mary Sue Aaron, a resident of Johnson County Illinois, died on  Saturday evening, March 10, 2018, at Meridian Village Senior Living Community in Glen Carbon, Illinois. A member of the Countryside Christian Church in Vienna, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from SIU Carbondale. She had worked as a school librarian and a kindergarten teacher.

Survivors include her children, Deborah Sue Aaron and husband Carl Inman of Glen Carbon, Steve and wife Marilyn Aaron of Nashville, Alex  and wife Juli Aaron of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Cathy and husband Ricky Dull of Richland, Missouri, Dan and wife Sharlee Aaron of Albion, and Julie and husband Scott Woodward of Englewood, Colorado; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two brothers, Pete and wife Tracy Walter and Bob and wife Chris Walter; 3 sisters-in-law, Janet and husband Ken Whitsett, Margaret Marlatt and Faye and husband Jim Burns; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A worship service honoring the life of Mary Sue Aaron will be conducted Tuesday morning, March 20, 2018, at 10 AM at the Countryside Christian Church, 135 Dameron Lane, Vienna, Illinois with burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery in the Rock Community in Pope County, Ill.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 19, 2018, from 4 PM – 8 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna and from 9 AM until the service hour on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Countryside Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to: Residential Hospice in Shiloh, IL; the Autumn Ridge Supportive Living Facility in Vienna, Ill., or the Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, Ill.
