Donald E. Lueke – Dahlgren

78 year-old Donald E. Lueke of Dahlgren, died on Thursday, July 19 at Deaconess Midtown Campus Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was a laborer, employed by Laborer Union Local 1197. He was also a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Piopolis.

Survivors include three daughters – Cindy Budell of McLeansboro, Kathy Brookman and husband Brent of Bluford and Donetta Hosick and husband Derek of Norris City. A son – Donnie Lueke of McLeansboro. Ten grandchildren – Bethany Garner, Amanda Wilkerson, Aaron Cravens, Austin Cravens, Cody Swartz, Brandon Brookman, Whitney Hall, Bailey Hosick, Justin Lueke and Jake Lueke. Nine great-grandchildren also survive. Two sisters – Betty Reyling and husband Charles of Belle City, and Schoerle Kaiser and husband  Richard of Evansville, Indiana. A special friend – Connie Lee of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Donald E. Lueke will be held on 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 24 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Piopolis with Father Slawomir Ptak officiating. Burial will follow at St.  John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Piopolis. Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 p.m. Monday, July 23 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro, with a Rosary Service to be held at 7 p.m.
