Dee Braddock, Orchardville

Dee Braddock, 82, of Orchardville, died at 9:35pm on Saturday, July 28, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. Along with working for the Illinois Central Railroad and being a farmer for many years, Dee was also a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the Salem Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Patsy, one son John Braddock of Fairfield, one daughter Deann (Brad) Green of Texico, Illinois, nine grandchildren Jerod (Rachel) Braddock, Charity Braddock, Jason Braddock, Justin (Erin) Braddock, Josh Braddock, Nathaniel (Jade) Green, Daniel (Chelsie) Green, Denea’ (Cody) Smith, and Samuel (Marisa) Green, thirteen great grandchildren, one brother Kermit Braddock of Johnsonville, and one sister-in-law June Braddock of Walnut Hill, Illinois.

Funeral services for Dee Braddock will be at 10am on Thursday, August 2, at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Jacob’s Chapel Cemetery in Orchardville, IL with full military rites at the graveside. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Wednesday, August 1st at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Fairfield Memorial Hospital Comfort Care Room and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
