Jeanne M. Locum, Fairfield

Jeanne M. Locum, 78, of Fairfield, died at 8:05am on Sunday, July 29, at her residence. She had worked as an Administrative Assistant for John Basnett Geologist and Basnett Investments for 18 years. She earned her Associate in Applied Science, Administrative Assistant Degree from Frontier Community College in 1999. She was also the treasurer for the TOPS weight loss club and the Willow Branch Cemetery in Rinard, along with working with the Wounded Warriors since 2010. Jeanne was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Survivors include two sons Tim Locum of Omaha, Nebraska, and Jim (Jennifer) Locum of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, five grandchildren AJ and Drew Locum and Hayden, Devyn, and Holden Locum, two brothers  Robert (Mary) King of Branchburg, New Jersey, and Jim (Linda) King of Olympia, Washington, and one  sister Barbara King of Seattle, Washington.

Per Jeanne’s request, her body has been cremated.  A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, August 11, at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with no burial at this time. Visitation will be from 2pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Wounded Warriors or the Adult Volunteer Literacy Program at Frontier Community College and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
