Ralph Edward McCord – Cisne

90 year-old Ralph Edward McCord, of Cisne, died at 10:05am Monday, August 6 at his home.

Ralph was born July 2, 1928 at Keenes, Illinois to William and Stella (Keen) McCord. He married Betty Pond September 27, 1947 at Cisne, Illinois and she survives.

Ralph was a member of Blue Point Free Will Baptist Church and worked at Caterpillar as an Approver and Designer. He was an Army Veteran during the Korean War.

Ralph is survived by his wife Betty McCord of Cisne, Illinois; two sons Robert McCord of Evansville, Indiana and David (Karen) McCord of Plainfield, Illinois; one sister Mary Burney of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; two brothers Murvin (Virginia) McCord of Wayne City, Illinois and Billie (Barbara) McCord of Tennessee; and one sister-in-law Lois McCord of Minooka, Illinois. Also surviving are three grandchildren Jessica (Brad) Perdue of Charleston, South Caroline, Devon (Althea Gotto) McCord, of Honolulu, Hawaii and Lauryn McCord of Long Beach, California and three great grandchildren Reagan Perdue, Colton Perdue, and Sadie Perdue.

Preceding Ralph in death were his parents, brother Paul McCord and brother-in-law Clifford Burney.

Funeral service for Ralph McCord will be 11am Wednesday, Aug. 8th at Hosselton Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10am – 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Thomason Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
