67 year old former Fairfield resident, Stephen A. Gershenson, passed away Sunday morning, August 5, 2018 in Creve Coeur, Missouri.
Steve resided in Fairfield until moving to the Belleville, IL area. Steve was born January 19, 1951 to Dr. David A. & Lucille Gershenson. Steve was known for his characteristic humor and bright spirit.
Steve is survived by his brother and sister in law, Dr. David M. & Michelle Gershenson of Houston, TX. His nieces, Dr. Rebecca (Ian) Smith of Coeur d’ Alene, ID; Rachel Gershenson of Houston, TX; and Hannah Gershenson of Dallas, TX and his great nieces and great nephew Lillian Smith, Adeline Smith and Alistair Smith of Coeur ’d Alene, ID.
A graveside service for Stephen A. Gershenson will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
In celebration of Steve’s love for music , memorials may be given to Fairfield Community High School Band, which can be sent to FCHS, 300 W. King Street, Fairfield,, Il 62837 ATTN: Jill Fulkerson or will be accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home.
