Dennis W. Kronmiller-Carmi

Dennis W. Kronmiller, “The Bunny Bread Man”, died Thursday, November 22, 2018, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.  He was born April 11, 1947, in Harrisburg, Illinois, the son of Donald “Kenneth” and Blanche (Moye) Kronmiller.  He was married to Kathy (Renshaw) Kronmiller, and she survives.

 

Dennis was best known in the tri-state area, not as Denny, but as the “Bunny Bread Man”.  He served many retail grocery outlets and various institutions for 36 years.  He was a very proud US Navy Vietnam Veteran where he served from 1966-67, as a radio operator in Naval Intelligence.  He was a member of the First Christian Church, and past member of the VFW and American Legion.  In his leisure time, he enjoyed following the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Team and doing carpentry work.

 

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Kronmiller; daughters Kim (Brad) Spence, Lori (Eddie) Allen, all of Carmi; beloved grandchildren Cody Allen, Connor Allen, Tyler Spence and Tanner Spence.

 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Sam and Freida Kronmiller; his parents; and brother Donald Kronmiller.

 

Visitation is 5-8 pm, Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi.  Funeral is 1 pm, Sunday, November 25, 2018, at First Christian Church in Carmi.  Burial with military rites will be in Bruce Chapel Cemetery near Carmi.
