Kermit Braddock, 85 of Cisne died at 2:45 AM, Monday, November 26, 2018 at his home. Born on December 24, 1932 in Wayne County to Harmon and Thelma (Green) Braddock, he was a lifelong educator, including being Regional Superintendent of Schools for 28 years. Kermit was also a lifelong member of the Johnsonville Methodist Church, a Mason, and loved God, sports and hunting.
Kermit is survived by sons Mickey (Elizabeth) Braddock of Rossville, IL and Tim (Cheryl) Braddock of Parkersburg, IL, daughter Terri (Danny) Barnfield of Cisne, 6 grandchildren- Chris Barnfield of Iuka, Lisa Moreland of Ramsey, Whitney Braddock of Champaign, Lyndey Braddock of Rossville, Mitch Braddock of Olney, and Logan Braddock of Parkersburg, and 5 great grandchildren- Lane, Ellie, and Abby Barnfield of Iuka, Jaxon Moreland of Ramsey, and Dieter Weisgerber of Rossville. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marjorie Braddock, and brothers Mervyn and Dee Braddock.
Funeral services for Kermit Braddock will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, November 29 at the Johnsonville Methodist Church, with burial to follow in Johnsonville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Wednesday at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with Masonic Rites at 7 PM. Memorials in his honor may be made to Johnsonville Methodist Church. Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge of the arrangements.
