LOWANDA BACHSTEIN, 92, of Cisne, Illinois passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at her residence.
Lowanda was born May 12, 1926 at Jacksonville, Illinois to Dorothy Mary (Evans) Hazelwood. She married Bernard LeRoy Bachstein February 23, 1951 at East Moline, Illinois and he preceded her in death February 6, 2011.
Lowanda was of the Methodist faith. She was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and Chicago Bears fan. She enjoyed watching golf, especially Tiger Woods, loved to read and play Scrabble and had a drink every day.
Lowanda is survived by a daughter Teresa Tibbs of Cisne, Illinois and a step daughter Shari Goodfield of Springfield, Illinois. Five grandchildren Casey Tibbs, Samantha Farmer, Jesse Webb, Michelle Tibbs, and Ryan Tibbs and six great grandchildren Jonah Tibbs, Ransom Tibbs, Emma Webb, Silas Webb, Vincent McGowan, and James Foreman also survive.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Bernard Bachstein, son Albert Michael Bachstein, and six siblings Dorothy Hazelwood, Edward Hazelwood, Lawrence Hazelwood, Barbara Ryan, Haley Cooper, and Martel Hazelwood.
There will be no funeral services. Burial will be at a later date.
