Cecil Lee McKenzie – Fairfield

63-year-old Cecil Lee McKenzie of Fairfield, IL, formerly of McLeansboro, IL, died at 5:53 a.m. Friday, April 19 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.  He was a machine operator, and past member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church in McLeansboro, IL.

Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Marie Parson of Fairfield, IL; two brothers, David of Fairfield, IL and Mark and wife Alice McKenzie of Gillette, WY; two sisters, Marilyn Eli and husband Robert of Evansville, IN and Sandy Johnson and husband Danny of McLeansboro, IL; one sister-in-law, Casey McKenzie of McLeansboro, IL; one grandson, Ryder Parson; ex-wife and friend, Lois Hutchcraft; four nieces, Ronda Townsend, Renee Massey, Deedee Salters, Meagan Greenwood; and five nephews, Randy & Robert Eli, Chad Beene, Marc and Jarrod McKenzie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John and Jimmy.

Funeral services for Cecil Lee McKenzie will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro, Il with Reverend Bill Hampton officiating.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 at the funeral home.  Per Cecil’s wishes, his body will be cremated and a private family burial of ashes will take place at a later date.
