Mary Lou Nesler Gubbins, 89, of Grayville, Illinois, died Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She was born November 3, 1929, in Carmi, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Bessie (Webb) Millar. She was married to James Nesler who preceded her in death on October 4, 2000. She later married Leroy Gubbins and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2012.
Mary Lou was a retired beautician and secretary. She attended Ridge Church and was an avid reader.
Survivors include son Ron Nesler of Grayville; step-son Michael (Sue) Gubbins of Minooka, Illinois; brother Tom (Melas) Millar of Grayville; sister Martha (Reggie) Phillips of Charleston, Illinois; grandchildren Jamie (Destiny) Nesler and Adam Nesler; and great grandchildren Devin, Dafney, Dakota, Brynn, and Braden Nesler.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husbands.
Visitation and funeral are Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Visitation is at 11 am and funeral is at 1 pm with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville.
Memorials may be made to Ridge Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville.
