Robert L. Caudle – Fairfield

A well-known former Fairfield business owner, Robert L. Caudle, 82, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 23, 2019. Robert worked for Sears for many years and then owned the Sears Hometown Franchise as well as Caudles Hometown Brand Center in Fairfield. Robert was a lifelong active member of the Community of Christ Church and served in their Priesthood. He was an Airforce Veteran serving from 1958-1962.

Memorial services will be held at the Community of Christ Church on Windsor Lane on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Visitation will be held at the church from 4-6 PM, with service at 6 PM. There will be a burial at the Brush Creek Cemetery at a later date. Robert is survived by his wife of almost 56 years, Joyce; sons Deron of Fairfield, Dean (Stacy) of Shiloh, IL, Daniel deployed to Poland; daughter Diana Herman of Jerseyville, IL; and grandchildren Alaina, Matthew, and Zach Herman of Jerseyville and John Caudle of Shiloh, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents Farris and Bertha (Miley) Caudle, brother William Caudle of Crestview, IL and Sister Betty Hatlett of Savannah, GA.

Memorials are asked to be made to the Brush Creek Campgrounds at Xenith. Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
