Teresa Rae French – McLeansboro

65-year-old Teresa Rae French of McLeansboro, died on Wednesday, August 14 at her residence. She was a homemaker, and was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church.

Teresa was born on May 14, 1954 in Valpariso, Indiana to Ralph Potter and Macie Emma (Austin) Potter. She married Glendal Dail French on April 3, 1971 at Brush Harbor Church in McLeansboro.

Survivors include her husband Glendal of McLeansboro, two sons: Glendal Dail French III (wife Theresa) of Lexington, Illinois, and Wayne Douglas French (wife Alanna) of Dale; a daughter: Cynthia Adcock (husband Gary) of Dale; three sisters: Mary of Lexington, Kentucky, Delilah Gunter and Rita Blackwell; two brothers: Ralph Potter of Montana and Bill Potter of Lexington, KY; 9 grandchildren: Jordan, Joshua, Justin, Julian, Alyssa & Alecia French, Macie, Sarah and Luke Adcock; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Arella Hanvold (2018).

Funeral services for Teresa Rae French will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 17 at New Salem Baptist Church with burial to follow at Cartwright Cemetery in McLeansboro as Reverend Harl Cockrum will officiate the service. Visitation will be held at 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 17 at the New Salem Baptist Church in Dale.
