Wanda L. Dickey, 94, of Fairfield, died at 1:45AM on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield, IL. She had been the owner of Wayne County Abstract for over 63 years. Wanda was born on March 4, 1925, in Wayne County, to Gilbert and Dorothy (Clark) Ferguson.
Survivors include one daughter Jyl (Gary) Finley of Fairfield, two grandchildren: Roy (Misti) Finley and Rebecca (Coleman) Venters, eight great grandchildren, along with several great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Vera Greathouse.
Funeral services for Wanda Dickey will be at 1PM on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11AM until the time of service at the church. Memorial donations can be made to the FMH Skilled Care Unit or the First Baptist Church and will be accepted at the church or at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
