Leland Jack “Blue” Day – Grayville

 

Leland Jack “Blue” Day, 63, of Grayville, Illinois, died Saturday, September 21, 2019, at his home.  He was born April 22, 1956, in Evansville, Indiana, the son of Orville and Mary (Howard) Day.  He was married to Donna Kay (Horton) Day, and she survives.

Blue was a member of the St. Clemens Catholic Church in Booneville, Indiana.  He was a retired coal miner and served in the Army National Guard.  He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid bird hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Day of Grayville; sons Aaron Lee (Season) Day of Booneville, Kenny (Carman) Stone of Albion, Illinois, Mark (Wendy) Stone of Grayville; brothers Billy, Doug and Leto; sisters Evelyn, Tina, Linda and Gina; grandchildren Brandon, Blake, Kaleb, Katlyn, Tylan, Garrett, Kaleena and Haley; seven great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with Blue’s wishes, his remains were cremated and there will be no services.

Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville is in charge of all arrangements.
